24410The primary role of this position is to perform day-to-day parts and supplies ordering.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of purchase orders with correct cost, equipment parts, shop supplies, and consumables.
Maintain computer system accuracy of suppliers, purchase orders, expected delivery dates, past due PO's and vendor payments, review received items with no invoicing, and keep PO reports current.
Work directly with the maintenance planner to keep our spare parts up to date and on time for repair/PM.
Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Perform work in a safe mannerIssue purchase orders for inventory items, non-inventory items, and servicesReview YVB2 weekly to clear all invoicing issues related to purchaser's PO'sReview weekly GR/IR report for received items for which no invoicing has been submitted, request invoicing from vendor, and remove unused linesSupport all PO's created for maintenance and capex projectsGather and drive competitive pricing on quotes for spare parts and consumableMake ad hoc credit card purchases and perform monthly statement reconciliationSupport accounts payable, purchase order adjustments, and past due invoice reconciliationResearch parts (OEM and aftermarket) for purposes such as:
ordering, parts kitting, bin creation, and labellingCreate and maintain a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) logShip as required:
UPS, FedEx, Freight (RGA/RMA/Warranty)Monitor suppliers based on price and qualityMaintain professional relationships with all suppliersMaintain purchase information records and source listsWork with suppliers to maintain current part numbers and recordsParticipate and contribute to weekly department and supplier meetingsSupport reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), missing & past due, order history, , trends, and costsAccountable for maintaining a clean and orderly work areaAdhere to DFA local and corporate policies, procedures, practices, and guidelinesExhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgmentResearch, challenge, and select vendors that will serve the plant bestCreate a yearly vendor evaluation to review expectation and opportunities for improvementsDedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arriveFollow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirementsAdhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformityAttend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by the employee.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
